WWW International Sites

Political Resources on the Net
This is a very comprehensive, annotated directory of political sites available on the Internet searchable by country. It has links to the political parties, information about the political system, constitution, the media, and more.

This is an INCREDIBLE tool. The St. Thomas University School of Law is reviewing, annotating, and indexing official diplomatic government documents released on the WWW, including press briefings, communiques, news releases, position papers, transcripts, a real gold mine of primary resources. Even better, though, you can access these in an amazing array of ways -- by issue, by country originating the document, by country affected by the document, bilaterally (as in "between two specific countries"), and more. This is a real example of the best of the web.

Freedom House
This site has been a non-partisan, non-profit champion of democracy for over 60 years. Since 1972 it has surveyed the world and issued reports on the state of freedom in each country. Read about HOW they determine this. Then, see how free different countries really are by looking at the country reports.
