Spirituality Through Nature

Since the beginning of time, human beings have learned how to live and adapt to the natural changes of the environment. One cannot deny how the environment shapes the ways in which we choose to live our lives. For some people, the natural world is not only a surrounding landscape, but rather a spiritual realm, capable of harnessing ones own faith with their life. The environment, be it on land or water, offers sanctity filled with utter the beauty of a wild and natural world. For hundreds of thousands of years, people all over the world have felt the blessed hand of Mother Nature; be it hiking in an old growth forest, summiting a 14000 ft peak, diving pristine reefs or walking on the beach. The feebleness of words cannot accurately describe the ways in which the natural world can bless the inner being and soul often hidden within people. The visual experience alone is enough to temporarily eliminate the chaotic pressures and disorder mounting from the world’s technological advances and fast paced urbanization. Because nature has the ability to temporarily mute the harsh realities of society, it has been used for its spiritual value by people in all walks of life. There is certainly something sacred about Mother Nature in that she can have profound impacts on the way people live their lives and choose to seek spirituality through her most astonishing environment.
